New Online Requests

The Practice uses an online triage tool called Accurx. The Accurx system is available via our website, or Facebook page where you can submit a request.  To do this via the website, please click on the 'Get Help Now' tab. Our contracted hours are 08:00 - 18:30 Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays).  Our consulting times are between these times.  Please note at certain times, eg lunch or at the end of the day, a clinician may not be onsite, so for any urgent requests please call 111/999 or attend A&E. All requests will be categorised into medical or admin and will be triaged based on priority. You may be offered a face to face or a telephone appointment, or we may be able to respond in a message. Acute and urgent requests will be assessed and responded to the same day. All requests deemed as routine will be offered an appointment within a few weeks. Your appointment may be triaged to a suitable member of our healthcare team or you may be advised that we signpost you to a more appropriate healthcare provider such as the Pharmacy. You may also be provided with self-care advice, as appropriate. Should you need to book an appointment with a clinician or deal with an administrative query, please click on the ‘Contact Us Online’ section and complete the triage form. You are also able to access the Accurx request form via your NHS App. For patients that do not have access to the internet, or require help in completing the request form, you can come into the surgery to complete the request on our confidential tablet or call the reception team who will be able to support you over the telephone. It is important that when completing the forms you provide as much information as possible regarding your needs and symptoms. This will ensure the triaging clinician has all the relevant information to hand to accurately respond to your request. Following your request, you may be sent a link to self-book an appointment in an appropriate and convenient slot, in a timescale deemed appropriate by the triaging clinician. If you are unable to self-book a member of our reception team will contact you to book an appointment.

Out of Hours

The out of hours centre may be contacted in an emergency (although if there is a life threatening emergency please dial 999 for an ambulance). Please dial the surgery number and follow the options. The out of hours centre is situated next to Accident & Emergency at Lincoln County Hospital on Greetwell Road.

Alternatively patients may dial 111 direct for urgent but non life threatening emergencies out of hours.

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

TO OBTAIN URGENT MEDICATIONS WHEN THE SURGERY IS CLOSED – PLEASE DIAL 111.

Extended hours

Extended hours appointments are for pre-bookable non-urgent appointments. Examples of these include chronic illness, asthma checks and medicine reviews.

The service is being delivered by a federation of GP practices in the area.

In our locality, appointments are available between 6.30pm and 8pm Monday to Friday and on Saturdays.
