As part of a routine programme of inspection and to pilot the proposed revised checking schedules we were inspected by the Care Quality Commission on Friday 2nd May 2014 along with several other local practices in West Lincs Clinical Commissioning Group. They were assessing whether our systems were safe, effective, responsive, caring and well-led.
The inspection team were very thorough in their examination of our processes and procedures and spent a great deal of time talking to staff and patients and reviewing our documents and records and gave a feedback session at the end of the process before submitting their final report to us in August which was then published on their website in October. Because this was a pilot inspection we were not given an actual score against the various headings but we were pleased to note that overall the CQC felt that the Practice had successfully met all their criteria. Some suggestions for improvement were offered and we are working through these and will be implementing where appropriate. We are advised that following the pilot all practices will be re-inspected during the forthcoming months and scores publicised.
